How does a project actually work, from first call to launch?

Everything runs through a five step process: Discover, Strategize, Develop, Deploy, and Support. We start by learning your business, your workflows, and your goals. Then you get a prioritized roadmap with a clear plan, timeline, and ROI breakdown before a single line of code is written. We build, we roll out alongside your team, and we stay on to support and improve what we shipped.

I am not technical. How involved do I need to be?

As involved as you want, and never more than you need to be. We translate the technical decisions into plain language and only bring you the questions that genuinely need your input. You know your business better than anyone; our job is to turn that knowledge into software without making you learn ours.

Do you only work with Calgary businesses?

We are a Calgary based software team and we serve businesses across Alberta and North America. Most of the work happens remotely, so your location is rarely a constraint. If you are local to Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, or Chestermere, we are happy to meet in person.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends on what you are building, and we will not pretend otherwise. Cost scales with scope, so before any build we put a clear price, scope, and ROI breakdown on the table. You will know exactly what you are paying for and what it should return before you commit. No surprise invoices, no fine print.

How long does a project take?

Timelines depend on scope, and you get a firm one during the Strategize step, before development starts. A focused internal tool moves faster than a full platform. Rather than quote a number we cannot stand behind, we map the schedule to your actual project and keep you updated as we build.

Will you tell me if an off the shelf tool would serve me better?

Yes. If an existing product solves your problem better or cheaper than a custom build, we will say so. We only recommend building when it genuinely pays off, and we show you the math up front so the decision is yours, not a sales pitch. Honesty is the differentiator, not a tagline.

Do I own the code and the data?

Yes. It is your software and your data. We build from scratch on current, standard technology, fully documented and handed over, so you are never locked into us to keep it running.

What happens if we stop working together?

You keep everything: the code, the data, and the documentation. Because we build on standard, well documented technology instead of a proprietary black box, any competent team can pick it up. We design for continuity, not dependence. Being honest includes not holding your business hostage.

Is my system and data secure?

Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?

Yes. The Support step is part of the engagement, not an upsell. That covers security updates, monitoring, fixes, and tuning so the system keeps doing its job as your business changes.

What exactly can you build?

Accepted Answer
